Why Train at Total Baseball?
Simply put ... Our Training Methods Work. Total Baseball Students master skills quicker, retain them longer, and have the confidence to use their skills in game situations.
In all forms of training, the best results are achieved when focusing a small number of skills to a smaller sized group. Ideally, One on One is the way to go. One Student. One Coach
. One Skill. It allows for the ultimate in attention to detail, lesson customization, and ultimately, the retention of the skill. Maybe you've gone to a baseball school, and you were there on the field with twelve or fifteen, or even 30 other players, and they all wanted to work on hitting, when you wanted to work on your footwork. What happened? You ended up hitting because everyone else wanted to, didn't you? At Total Baseball, you work one-on-one with a personal coach, and we tailor a program just for you, focusing on what you need to work on.

It all begins with a simple concept -- "End Point Visualization". At the core of every Total Baseball lesson is this one principle -- teach the student the end result first, and using our "Backwards Shaping" techniques, mold the student -- good habit by good habit -- into the proper end point of the skill. Our instructors use positve motivation and frequent student directed corrections to shape the skill properly and develop muscle memory only for the correct methods to complete the skill correctly. Psychologically, it's a proven method that guarantees the student will form a permanent mental picture of themselves doing the skill properly (they'll remember what it felt like, and what it looked like), while at the same time quickly creating muscle memory to go along with the mental image. At the end of the lesson, the student has the proper basics of the skill in their arsenal for life, along with a plan to perfect it. Add in the fact that you get to workout on our personal sized training area, along with blaring music in a 100% baseball environment, and you have all of the ingredients for success.
